All American Marine (AAM) constructed and delivered this state-of-the-art 74-foot diesel aluminum hydrofoil catamaran patrol boat for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW). Built to enhance coastal and marine enforcement, this advanced vessel strengthens CDFW’s Law Enforcement Division in protecting California’s marine resources.
High-Performance Hydrofoil-Assisted Design: Designed to US Coast Guard (USCG) Subchapter T standards, the 74’ x 27.5’ twin-engine catamaran integrates Teknicraft’s dynamic hydrofoil system, improving fuel efficiency, stability, and speed. Powered by twin Cat C-18 diesel engines (800 HP each), the vessel reaches a cruise speed of 24.5 knots and a top speed of 27 knots, with a 2000-gallon fuel capacity for extended missions.
Advanced Patrol Capabilities: Built for multi-day patrols, fishery enforcement, and marine protected area surveillance, this vessel operates efficiently in near-coastal and offshore environments. It is equipped for dive missions, illegal trap seizures, and commercial gear inspections, supporting CDFW and partner agencies.
A key innovation is the Teknicraft Rapid RHIB Launch & Retrieval System, enabling inflatable boat deployment in under a minute, reducing response time for enforcement operations. The vessel also features a FLIR M364C-LR high-resolution thermal imaging system for superior monitoring and tracking of violators along the coast.
Cutting-Edge Navigation & Safety: The patrol boat is fitted with an advanced Furuno electronics package, ensuring state-of-the-art navigation, communication, and enforcement technology. Designed for high endurance and rough sea conditions, it provides spacious deck areas for operations and accommodations for up to 10 personnel, allowing for day missions with additional passengers.
Enhancing Marine Law Enforcement & Conservation: “This vessel marks a major advancement in marine patrol technology,” said Ron Wille, President & COO of All American Marine. “The Rapid RHIB Deployment System will greatly enhance CDFW’s enforcement capabilities.”
Constructed and tested at AAM’s Bellingham, WA facility, this vessel represents the next chapter in marine law enforcement, supporting California’s conservation efforts and ensuring sustainable marine resource protection.
