All American Marine (AAM) proudly delivers a 64’10” hydrofoil-assisted catamaran to Island Packers, marking their third Teknicraft-built vessel for passenger ferry service to California’s Channel Islands. Designed for high-speed efficiency and versatility, this state-of-the-art aluminum catamaran enhances Island Packers’ fleet, offering reliable transport for passengers, cargo, and kayaks to one of the West Coast’s most scenic marine destinations.
Innovative Hydrofoil-Assisted Hull Design
Designed by Teknicraft Design Ltd., the vessel features:
- Teknicraft’s signature hull shape, including a symmetrical bow, asymmetrical tunnel, and integrated wave piercer
- Hydrofoil-assisted technology, ensuring fuel efficiency, reduced drag, and a smooth ride
- USCG-certified for 149 passengers across two decks with a three-person crew
Powered by twin Cummins QSK 19 Tier II engines (800 bhp @ 2100 RPM), the catamaran achieves a cruising speed of 23 knots, ensuring fast, comfortable crossings for Island Packers’ ferry routes.
