Patagonia has a long history of taking a critical deep dive into environmental issues near and far. Issues that affect us in ways we never knew possible. Recently, they worked with our partners at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department / The Texas Game Wardens on the troubled history and the ever-increasing present dangers of illegal fishing. The Darkest Web – Protecting the Gulf of Mexico from illegal fishing is a first-hand account of the daily onslaught of potential threats to not only the environmental impacts of illegal fishing, but the toll it takes on Game Wardens who are out there every day defending local and even international waters. The All American Marine built, 80′ catamaran Captain Murchison is critical to assisting the Game Wardens in the line of duty.
