All American Marine delivers Lady Swift to Kitsap Transit

All American Marine, Inc. (AAM) has completed construction and delivered the last of three low wake and high-speed passenger vessels built for Kitsap Transit based in Bremerton, Wa. The Lady Swift, an aluminum catamaran coupled to a composite superstructure and a dynamic carbon fiber hydrofoil, was delivered to Bremerton on Friday, July 26, 2019.  The vessel was designed by Teknicraft Design Auckland, New Zealand and will operate on Kitsap’s current cross-sound ferry route between Bremerton and downtown Seattle, alongside the recently delivered Reliance.

All American Marine Delivers Low-Wake Ferry to Kitsap Transit

All American Marine, Inc. (AAM) has delivered the second of three low wake and high-speed passenger vessels for Kitsap Transit. The Reliance, an aluminum catamaran with a composite superstructure, was launched in Bellingham on March 6, 2019, and has been undergoing sea trials and wake-wash testing this past month.  During these test periods and in a light-laden condition, the crew observed the vessel capable of speeds in excess of 45 knots, over 50 mph. The vessel was designed by Teknicraft in Auckland, New Zealand and will operate on Kitsap’s current cross-sound ferry route between Bremerton and downtown Seattle.

Catamaran for Duke University Roll Over Video

 

 

Check out the rollover process for a Teknicraft catamaran currently under construction for Duke University. The 72′ research vessel will have wet labs and dry labs, oceanographic equipment, a galley and sleeping quarters. It will be an ocean-going classroom to train undergraduate and graduate students in oceanography and marine biology at the Duke Marine Lab at Beaufort, North Carolina. It will also be used to support science outreach programs for local K-12 teachers, students, and community members. Researchers and instructors from other institutions will also be able to charter the vessel for scientific or educational purposes.

All American Marine Launches New Hybrid Catamaran

All American Marine recently launched the Waterman for Kitsap Transit on February 5th, to a beautiful day here in Bellingham. The 70′ x 26′ USCG Subchapter T, hybrid-electric passenger vessel was designed by Glosten in Seattle, and will serve as a water taxi, transporting 150 passengers between Bremerton, Port Orchard, and Annapolis Washington. Featuring BAE’s HybriDrive system, the Waterman is the second Hybrid Electric vessel built by All American Marine. The first being the Enhydra, WorkBoat’s 2018 Boat of the year. WorkBoat names its 2018 Boat of the Year

WorkBoat recognized the 10 Significant Boats of 2018 and named its Boat of the Year at an awards ceremony at the International WorkBoat Show Thursday morning. The 2018 Boat of the year was the Enhydra, a 600-passenger hybrid tour vessel built by All American Marine for Red and White Fleet.
