Chugach Express: High-Speed Eco-Tour Catamaran for Phillips Cruises & Tours

All American Marine proudly delivers the Chugach Express, an advanced 84.5-foot hydrofoil-assisted aluminum catamaran, built for Phillips Cruises & Tours. Designed for daily eco-tour operations in Prince William Sound, Alaska, this state-of-the-art vessel combines speed, efficiency, and passenger comfort for an unparalleled sightseeing experience.

Innovative Design & Engineering

Designed by Nic de Waal of Teknicraft Design, the Chugach Express features an 84.5’ x 30.7’ semi-displacement aluminum catamaran hull, constructed to US Coast Guard (USCG) Subchapter T standards. The dynamic aluminum hydrofoil system enhances speed, stability, and fuel efficiency, ensuring smooth operation in varied sea conditions.

Powered by quad Scania DI16 082M engines (800 mhp each) and MJP 350X waterjets, the vessel achieves exceptional performance with low wake energy. Its 1200-gallon fuel capacity supports extended-range operations, reducing fuel consumption and operational costs.

Passenger Comfort & Eco-Tour Experience

Designed to carry 150 passengers, the Chugach Express delivers a premium sightseeing experience with spacious seating, panoramic views, and advanced onboard amenities. Teknicraft’s patented hydrofoil-assisted hull design ensures a smooth, low-drag ride, even in choppy waters, enhancing passenger comfort.

Industry-Leading Efficiency & Sustainability

The hydrofoil-assisted hull reduces resistance, increasing speed while cutting fuel consumption and emissions. This eco-friendly technology minimizes the vessel’s environmental impact, aligning with Phillips Cruises & Tours’ commitment to sustainable tourism in Alaska’s pristine waters.

A New Era for Phillips Cruises & Tours

“With the delivery of the Chugach Express, we’re thrilled to enhance our guests’ experience while improving efficiency and sustainability,” said Casey Neumann, Managing Partner at Phillips Cruises & Tours.

From high-performance hydrofoil technology to unmatched passenger comfort, the Chugach Express represents a new standard in eco-tour vessels, further solidifying All American Marine’s leadership in hydrofoil-assisted catamaran construction.
