All American Marine (AAM) is proud to announce the delivery of a new 65-foot aluminum catamaran dive and patrol vessel to the Los Angeles Port Police. Designed by Teknicraft Design of Auckland, New Zealand, the vessel represents a significant upgrade to the Port Police’s existing fleet — and continues a partnership between AAM and the LA Port Police that dates back to a 2012 dive vessel delivery.

Constructed at AAM’s facility in Bellingham, Washington, the vessel completed extensive sea trials before being delivered to the LA Port Police dock in Los Angeles, California, expanding their maritime law enforcement capabilities at one of the nation’s busiest ports.

Vessel Overview

The new catamaran measures 65 feet x 24 feet and is built from marine-grade aluminum for long-term durability in salt and freshwater environments. It is specifically engineered to operate in both inland and nearshore waters along the southern California coast — conditions that demand consistent performance in variable sea states. Powering the vessel are twin Cummins QSM11-715 engines with fixed-pitch propellers, producing a combined output of 705 bhp at 2,500 rpm. The catamaran achieves a cruising speed of 20 knots and a maximum speed of approximately 25 knots.

The vessel is certified to meet U.S. Coast Guard Subchapter T regulations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational compliance for law enforcement applications.

Teknicraft Eco-Bow: Next-Generation Hull Performance

A standout feature of this build is the inclusion of Teknicraft’s “Eco-Bow” hull design — an advanced bow geometry that delivers measurable improvements in ride stability, fuel efficiency, and passenger comfort in exposed water conditions. The Eco-Bow represents a direct evolution from the hull design used on AAM’s 2012 dive vessel delivery to the LA Port Police. The new hull achieves better performance characteristics in rough conditions, reduces drag, and extends range — all critical factors for a vessel operating in a demanding port security and emergency response role.
