The Utah State Parks and Recreation department contracted with AAM in May 2009 to build a new patrol boat. The 35’ aluminum monohull will be used in the Great Salt Lake to perform law enforcement patrols and search & rescue operations. The law enforcement patrols will consist of vessel inspections, accident investigation and assistance, commercial conflicts, and trespass issues. When used for search & rescue missions the vessel will transport divers, EMT’s, and Rangers at the same time.
The vessel will be powered by twin Yamaha 350 hp outboards and have a cruise speed of 40 knots. The vessel will be finished with a Zolatone interior paint coating and non-skid deck paint. The design features a walk-around cabin with a tow post mounted on the aft deck. The completed boat will be trailerable. |
