AAM has received orders for a total of 8 new aluminum survey launch monohulls. Each vessel was procured under a General Services Administration contract awarded by N.O.A.A.’s Office of Coast Survey. The 30’ survey vessels will piggy back onto their motherships, the N.O.A.A. Ships Fairweather and Rainier. The boats will be constructed using an updated version of the original design by Jensen Marine Consultants. The survey vessels will be deployed to perform a variety of sea floor mapping missions along the west coast and in Alaska.
