Catamarans by All American Marine, Inc & Teknicraft Design Limited

In 1998, All American Marine began working with Nic deWaal and Teknicraft Design Limited of Auckland, New Zealand who specializes in high-tech catamarans. The first Teknicraft catamaran built by AAM - the "New Golden Eye" - was completed in May 1999, and is now a successful charter fishing boat based in San Francisco Bay.

In the fall of 1999, AAM negotiated an Exclusive Design Agreement with Teknicraft Design Limited. Together, AAM and Teknicraft are building high quality aluminum multihull watercraft in a cost-effective manner.

72' Teknicraft Catamaran - Condor Express

Santa Barbara's first quad-jet-powered catamaran, the Condor Express carries 149 passengers and 3 crew members at a cruising speed of over 30 knots around the Santa Barbara Channel and to the nearby islands.

The boat measures 72'x26.5', with a displacement of 118,200 pounds when full (77,000 pounds light). It is powered by four 740-horsepower diesel engines, and quad Hamilton 362 waterjets.

38' Teknicraft Catamaran - M/V Mercury
Designed for high-speed sightseeing trips for tourists with a sense of adventure. The Mercury operates out of Bellingham, WA by San Juan Shuttle Express.

The vessel is aluminum construction and is powered by twin 350 hp. Yanmar diesels, driving 274 Hamilton Jets. It carries 34 passengers at speeds up to 33 knots.

61' Teknicraft Catamaran - Chilkat Express

The Chilkat Express is a 61'x22' Teknicraft catamaran run by Chilkat Cruises & Tours for tourist excursions between Skagway, Alaska, and Glacier Point.

With a top speed of 46 knots, this boat quickly shuttles up to 63 passengers on its 40-minute one-way journey, many from the cruise ships that regularly stop in Skagway.

64' Teknicraft Catamaran - M/V Islander
The M/V Islander is a 149-passenger 64x24 foot Cummins-powered Teknicraft catamaran. The boat is powered by a pair of emission compliant Cummins KTA19 M4 engines each delivering 700 HP @ 2100 RPM into Twin Disc MG 5114A SC marine gears with 2.5:1 ratios and turning 5-blade 36x42 inch Osborne propellers on three-inch Aquamet shafts.

The Islander has joined the Island Packers fleet which has a transportation concession for the Channel Islands National Park, off the coast of Ventura, California.

This 55' Catamaran Cruiser (The IKE) has an overall breadth of 20 feet, with a draft of 2 feet 10 inches. With a 45,000-pound displacement, three decks, and two turbo-charged Yanmar (465 hp.) diesel engines, this multi-hull cat utilizes a revolutionary design which takes the best features of symmetrical and asymmetrical hulls.

  The owner chose the Teknicraft Catamaran design, built by All American Marine, due to its smooth ride and fuel efficiency. It cruises at 29 knots at full power; 26 at 85 percent power.
