The recently launched Kachemak Voyager will operate in Kachemak Bay and provide passenger ferry service between the communities of Seldovia and Homer in Alaska. Upon touring the Kenai Fjord Tours owned Orca Voyager (sistership), representatives of the Seldovia Native Association were convinced that a new vessel like Orca Voyager would be suitable for their own ferry operation and signed a contract with AAM to begin construction. Like Kenai Fjord Tours, Seldovia is located on the Kenai Peninsula and the vessel is well suited to operate in the harsh Alaskan environment. All American Marine started construction on the new Seldovia Bay Ferry in late 2009 and delivered the vessel in the early summer of 2009.
