The hull form, by Teknicraft Design Limited, is a semi-planing type catamaran that employs a combination of symmetrical and asymmetrical shapes. This unique design results in a smoother ride, even at high speeds. The longitudinal chines inside the tunnel, deflect water, thus reducing drag and improving fuel efficiency.

The Reel Time is outfitted with Caterpillar 3124 diesel engines and Hamilton 274 waterjets and cruises at 30 knots.
